Covid Policy

For the safety of our patrons, staff and entertainers you must provide ID and proof that you are fully vaccinated or, have proof that a negative covid test result was received from a certified medical facility within 72 hours of the event you are attending , in order to attend any Sanctuary event. Sanctuary no longer accepts over-the-counter self-test results.

  • 2 weeks (14 days) after your second dose of an accepted 2-dose series COVID-19 vaccine.

Sanctuary will also no longer accept over-the-counter self-test results as there is no way for us verify when that test was taken.

No exceptions will be considered.

  • While we want to be able to support this, there is no way for us to validate when you took your test so unfortunately the answer is no.
I have purchased a rapid COVID Testing Kit from a retail establishment and don’t mind taking the test at Sanctuary. Can I take the test at Sanctuary and then attend an event if the test is negative?
  • While we want to be able to support this, logistically it would be very difficult for us to check in masses of people and monitor people taking test so unfortunately no.
The fact that I cannot use an instant test purchased at a retail establishment is a real inconvienence? You do know that some people won't come because of that don't you?
  • Yes we are...and we are ok with that
  • The solution to getting in easily is to go get yourself vaccinated. It's like having your own 'fast-pass' to get in.
  • Great events await you at Sanctuary only two weeks after your last vaccination dose.

I forgot to bring my ID, proof of vaccination or, proof from a medical facility that I received a negative COVID test within 72 hours, but I drove from Boston just to attend this show, and the performer is a special friend of mine, and I already purchased tickets ahead of time, and it is my anniversary, and I know the owner. Am I eligible to attend an event at Sanctuary?
  • LOL - No chance.
Being vaccinated does not guarantee that someone does not have COVID. Why are you creating and enforcing these policies?
  • True, A small number of people who are vaccinated will still test positive for COVID-19. These are called “breakthrough cases.” This is to be expected. No vaccine is 100% effective but it’s important to keep in mind that the vast majority of “breakthrough cases” don’t have any symptoms of COVID-19 or very mild symptoms. This means the vaccines are still a success and are doing their job at keeping people from getting seriously ill. • Unvaccinated people are completely at risk, however. They are more likely to carry and transmit the virus, and more likely have severe issues because of it.
  • Creating and enforcing these policies is our way of providing a ‘reasonably’ safe environment for our staff, our performers and you.
Can you guarantee that I will be safe and will not catch COVID if I come to an event at Sanctuary?
  • Absolutely not. We do what we can to provide a ‘reasonably’ safe environment but every individual needs to make their own decision as to whether they want to attend an event at Sanctuary given the current COVID environment and our policies.
Unfortunately I can't meet your policy guidelines but I purchased a ticket ahead of time. Can I get a refund?'
  • We will refund tickets to any event happening December 4th or earlier if you cannot meet our COVID Policy Requirements.
  • No refunds will happen for any tickets purchased for events happening after December 4th.
  • Your request needs to be emailed to adrian.adams@sanctuarymaynard.com within 24 hours of the event.
  • You must have not checked in at the event.
  • Any ticket fees will not be refunded.
Are masks required while in Sanctuary'
  • Sanctuary recommends the use of masks, and our employees will always be wearing them during an event, however we do not require them at this time.
Does this policy apply to private events as well?'
  • Yes and we require all private parties to notifiy their guest of Sanctuary's policy before the event.
  • The only difference is that we would expect the private party to handle how the enforcement will happen.
Could Sanctuary's Covid Policy Change?
  • Sanctuary is constantly reviewing its policies and yes, they may change at any time.

Helpful Tips

Helpful Tip #1
  • Take a picture of your vaccination card. You almost never leave home without your phone and you are much less likely to forget your proof of vaccination if it is on your phone.
Helpful Tip #2
  • If you haven’t already, GET YOURSELF VACCINATATED!!! Great events await you at Sanctuary only two weeks after your last vaccination dose, and you get the added benefit of being less likely to die or accidentally kill off friends and family.
  • Was that too much to say out loud? If you think so, then read the part about “being less likely to die or accidentally kill off friends and family” again because I’m guessing it didn’t really sink in the first time. This is serious folks and it isn't just about you. Your decisions to not get vaccinated can seriously impact another person's life.
