Christmas Concert: SOLD OUT! A Candlelight Christmas
Event Details
“Stunning is the only word that comes to mind. People in the audience were cheering as if they had just watched the Red Sox win the World Series.”
Metropolitan Opera soprano Rachele Schmiege and colleagues join a first-class string ensemble and renowned trumpeter Richard Given for an unforgettable evening of Christmas classics and seasonal favorites. Selections represent the best-loved music from our traditional Christmas venues: Messiah arias (Handel and Haydn), Nutcracker excerpts (Boston Ballet), Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride (Boston Pops), The Prayer (in concert), O Holy Night (in church), White Christmas (in the movies), Christmas carols (strollers in the neighborhood). A carol sing-along rounds out the evening with audience participation.
