Tom Yates is inspired first by the rhythmic groove and down-home voice of American roots music. Tom has performed and recorded in the genres of: rock, country, blues, R&B, soul, Motown, funk, folk, New Orleans, bluegrass, and gospel. His compositions in the rock and country vein have won awards and been aired on television dramas. In 2008, Tom Yates was named “New England King of the Blues” by the Guitar Centers of America.
Tom has shared the stage with a range of talented artists, including: Charles Neville, The Monkees, Ray Davies of The Kinks, George Leh, Ronnie Earl, Tony Wilson (AKA Young James Brown), Dave Maxwell of Muddy Waters Band, The Cars, The Flamingos, J Geils, Dick Curless, Tina Welch, John Lincoln Wright, Three Dog Night, The Cars, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Glen Leonard and The Temptations, the Ladies of The Supremes, etc. Tom Yates has toured with numerous ensembles in the U.S. and Canada. He has played regularly at: Boston’s Hatch Shell, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Lizard Lounge, Kirkland Café, The Bull Run, the Regent Theater, the Acton Jazz Café, TCAN (The Center for Arts Natick), New England’s music-theater venues, festivals…
Ric Maure is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. Ric is a consummate Jazz musician with deep roots in the rhythms and melodies of Americana infused with a cool sense of comedy.
