Concert: Dub Apocalypse with The Zajac Brothers Band

Event Single

Event Details

Dub Apocalypse, hailing from Boston, MA, is a dynamic instrumental dub reggae ensemble featuring Tommy Benedetti on drums, Timo Shanko on saxophone and bass, Johnny Trama and Van Martin on guitars, and Aaron Bellamy on bass. Their signature sound blends the gritty rhythms of Sly and Robbie with the improvisational spirit of Coltrane-inspired saxophone and a dual guitar assault. Mixing classic Jamaican tunes and original compositions, the band—formed by Benedetti in 2007—has evolved with a lineup including veterans from John Brown's Body, Ghosts of Jupiter, Morphine, and G Love and Special Sauce. With roots in Boston's vibrant music scene and a string of accolades including a Boston Music Award, Dub Apocalypse continues to captivate audiences with their infectious live performances, showcasing their deadly, genre-defying sound at festivals, clubs, and residencies across New England.

Kicking off the night - The Zajac Brothers Band is led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Zajac, with his brother Matthew Zajac holding down the rhythm on drums. Together, they craft original music that blends a modern vibe with vintage influences. Over the years, they've built a versatile lineup of talented musicians to help bring their dynamic sound to life. Paying homage to the music that inspired them, the brothers often extend the jams and add their own unique spin to classic tunes. The band’s current touring lineup includes Kyle Curran on lead guitar and Dan Bishop on bass, performing tracks from their debut album Fleeting Memoirs.
