Fugitive Comedy hosts some of the best and brightest comics working in the Boston area and nationally. The comedians who have joined us have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, David Letterman, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Last Comic Standing, America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, The Jim Jeffries Show, Comedy Bang! Bang! Live! Podcast, NPR’s Commonwealth Journal, Lifetime’s Girls Night Out — and have opened for numerous well-known comedians in clubs around the nation.

Val Kappa
Val is a stand-up comic and visual artist who started out in the Boston comedy scene then moved to New York to hone her comedy chops. She has headlined nationally at colleges and has performed at comedy clubs, theaters, and rock clubs all over. She has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and was the voice of Clarice/Lil Mama on the cult cartoon “Home Movies.” In 2018, Val produced her first live comedy show — The Sleepy Time Comedy Show — at The Riot Theater in Roslindale which was a Boston Globe “critic’s pick.” She often opens for Tig Notaro and has opened for Jen Kirkman and Gary Gulman

Andrea Henry
Andrea has appeared on Nickelodeon’s Search for America’s Funniest Mom, Last Comic Standing, and The Great Canadian Laugh Off, and has participated in comedy fests across the country including Women in Comedy, Chicago Woman’s Funny Festival, Rogue Island, and Memphis Urban Laughs. She writes jokes for Us Weekly magazine’s Fashion Police and is the co-author of Real Kids Jokes by Real Stand-Up Comics.

Steve Halligan
Winner of Beantown Comedy Riots and runner up in Best of Boston Comedy, Steve is quickly making a name for himself in the comedy world. He has been a headliner for Recovery Comedy, has been featured on the Addicts Comedy Tour, and participated in Last Comix Standing at Mohegan Sun. Drawing upon his complex life experiences, including single parenthood and his road to recovery, Steve’s quick wit and charm has made him an audience favorite all over New England.

Tom Spohn
Tom is an up-and-coming comic who, for the past few years, he has been performing throughout the region. His sketch and standup show, With Friends Online, is available on YouTube.
