Brought to you by: Fugitive Productions
Ali Manion brings her vibrant, signature voice to many of the jazz, blues, and R&B classics we all know and love as well as some lesser known standards. She has been singing roots music all of her life, capturing the essence and emotion in every song.
Ali is inspired by some of the greats — Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughn and Nina and beautifully covers Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Eva Cassidy, Bonnie Raitt, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and songs from the great American songbook.
Having trained at The Crane School of Music and Ithaca College School of Music, she has taught music and voice in the Brookline Public Schools and was most recently on the Concord Academy voice faculty. This fall, she will be joining the teaching staff at the Fay School in Southborough.
Joining Ali tonight are Michael Ball (upright bass), Jorge Perez-Albela (drums), Jonathan Fagan (keyboards), and Michael Giordano (guitar).
